Years ago, companies came out with software to help automate the commissions process, but it hasn’t ever been truly automated until recently.Many organizations are still relying on legacy systems and manual processes, such as spreadsheets, to manage commissions. Excel is cheap and easy to use and legacy systems have been implemented for years, so they seem hard to rip out.
