Every summer (in a “normal” non-COVID year) when Valparaiso University students have wrapped up their course work and vacated the residence halls, the IT department tests each individual network port throughout the six student dorms across campus to ensure each student will have access to at least one working Ethernet jack (in addition to Wi-Fi access). Each year this is a long and cumbersome task, read this case study to see how using NetAlly test tools, Valparaiso University was able shave three weeks from the time it typically takes to complete the port testing project every year, driving efficiencies that saved the IT Department time and money.
